Long Time No Blog

It has been over two years since I have last blogged, and there have been a multitude of changes in our lives since then. So, in the interest of time I will provide a brief rundown of the highlights of the last two years from June 2009 and beyond:

I quit my job to stay home full time in June 2010.
We found out I was pregnant five days after I quit my job.
I turned the big 30!
Seth and I celebrated 8 years of marriage.
Judson Garrett Bohne was born on January 21, 2011.
Evan turned four.
Seth got a promotion at work.
We moved to Tucson, AZ because of the promotion.
Seth graduated from college, but couldn't walk because of our move...bummer.
Seth turned 30 finally!

I think that pretty much will catch everyone up on all of the major events that have happened since my last blog was written. I will update with some more detailed posts in the very near future, and I will include some pictures!

Trip to Houston

We went to Houston to visit my best friend Kristin and her family a couple of weeks ago. When we went we had a mini photo shoot with Evan and Kristin's daughter, Jocelyn. They turned out so cute. I guess you can't help that when you have two kids that are undeniably precious! The pictures with the water were taken at the end of the shoot when Kristin sprayed the kids because they were getting hot. The photographer, Windy Sky, captured the moment perfectly. If you are ever in the Houston area and need some pictures, give her a call!

Our visit went really well. Evan acted like a perfect little angel in the car there and back, so we were pleased. He had some sharing issues with Jocelyn, but overall he did really well. He didn't like Jocelyn to be out of his sight. He kept calling her "my baby" or "my sweet girl". So cute!

In need of an update

Well, I have majorly slacked off on the blogging. My last semester in school was rough, and my summer session is not looking too good either. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself, but I am determined to get this over with! Seth is doing well in school too. He is going year round and plugging away. We are both so ready to be done, so that is what keeps us motivated. Needless to say we are going to force Evan, and any future child, to go to college right out of high school. Let's just hope they are willing participants.

Evan is growing my leaps and bounds. His vocabulary is astonishing. When we meet someone new they never believe he is only two. He still stands a few inches above his piers, and we are hoping that will stick. We took him to the science and history museum on Memorial Day, and had a blast. He also loves playing outside, and adores any type of sport.

Here are a few pictures to keep you updated. I hope you are all enjoying the summer and not getting too hot!

Who does Evan look like?

Seth and I were talking about who we think Evan looks like, and he is such a mix of both of us we can't tell. My family thinks he looks like me, and Seth's family thinks he looks like him. We decided to get pictures of all of us from around the same age so we can compare them. Here is what we think...he's got my eyes, nose and face shape. He's got Seth's mouth except with fuller lips, Seth's hair, and expressions. What do you think?

Evan is TWO!

I can't believe how fast time flies. We celebrated Evan's birthday on the weekend before the actual big day. We had so much fun with friends at ASI Gymnastics. The poor little guy cried and cried when we had to leave. I still can't believe that my baby is two. He is such a good boy and we are so proud of him. Here are some pictures from the birthday party for you to enjoy! I will post a better update later, but hopefully this will suffice for now! (These are way out of order, but I'm too tired to fix it)

Sundays

Seth, Evan and I have lunch every Sunday with my family. It's a lot of fun, and gives us an opportunity to spend time together. I love it, but it often makes me feel bad that we don't have the same opportunities with Seth's family. It's sad that so many of them are relatively close, but they don't come around. The family that does come around (the readers of this blog!) live too far away for Sunday lunches. I truly hope that one day we will be in the position to pay more visits to everyone. We want Evan to grow up and know all of his family. Hopefully we will have some Sundays with the rest of you in the not so distant future.

This is why I love Texas, y'all!

We took Evan to the annual Ft. Worth Stock Show. He had such a good time. He loved all the animals, and was so excited to see the cows and horses! This is truly what I love about living in Ft. Worth. Not only do we have all of the urban amenities, but we also have stock shows and rodeos! It really is the best of both worlds. I can't picture living anywhere else, no offense to you Minnesotans.
